You need a 6-months valid passport.
The tourist visa (3 months) is available in every Moroccan airport free of charge.

Money
The official currency in Morocco is the dirham, DH, o MAD (100 cents); a popular system to define prices is the real (rate 20 real = 1 dirham). Before departure, check euro-dirham exchange rate and pound-dirham exchange rate.
Changing money (cash, travellers' cheque or credit card) is possible in banks or official change offices. ATMs are available everywhere. Credit cards are accepted in four-star hotels, upper restaurants and shops.
Remember, changing money in the street is illegal.

Time
Moroccan time zone is the same as Greenwich (UK time); the Summer time was set in 2008 but, despite it is used in any office and for public hours, it is not easily used by the people. The Summer time starts and stops the same days as in the rest of Europe, therefore usually Morocco is at the same time as UK, while when Summer time is on in Europe but not in Morocco (for instance during ramadan month), Morocco is one hour later than UK.

Electricity
Electricity is provided at 220V. Plugs are not very spreadly found in small hotels and private houses.

Phones & Internet
Teleboutiques are everywhere, with either coins or cards; alternatively you can buy a Moroccan sim card for 50 DH including 30 DH trafic. Receiving or dialing from a foreign sim is extremely expensive. Cyber cafe are popular and, normally, efficient, except in some remote areas where connection is very slow. The connection cost is between 8 and 15 DH per hour.

Health
There are no compulsory vaccinations; malaria (benign) is not diffused, but check with your doctor before departure.
Gastric intestinal problems are very common, due to food and climate. Therefore it is strongly recommended to follow some hygiene care: avoid row vegetables, sea food and unpeeled fruit, and generally everything washed with tap water and/or not cooked. Note that fresh orange juice is often added with ice or tap water. Furthermore, during summer avoid iced drinks and long staying in air conditioned environments. Do not stay under the sun without a hat. In winter, cold are common due to the big gap between day and night temperature: do not unwear during sun hours and above all wear properly before getting into a room if sweating.
A travel pharmacy should include your usual medicins, plus intestinal disinfectants, insects repellents, high protection sun creams, bandaids, antiseptics. In pharmacies you can find all main medicins but prices are often higher due to import costs.
